Lactation

Breastfeeding provides many health benefits for babies and nursing parents, but it’s not always as intuitive and straightforward as you would expect, especially in those first few sleep-deprived weeks. But with gentle guidance from a lactation specialist, breastfeeding can become more comfortable and predictable. At an in-home lactation visit, Brittany will go over your own breastfeeding journey from the beginning, any complications along the way, and what your goals are for feeding your baby while equally prioritizing your postpartum recovery and well-being. She can help with most common breastfeeding issues, such as painful nursing, latching difficulties, or low milk supply. They can also discuss bottle-feeding, pumping and proper milk storage, and offer referrals to more intensive lactation support when needed.
